This privacy policy applies to the Shower Oath app for mobile devices, together with any related services operated by Ocean Nishimura (collectively, the "Application"). Ocean Nishimura is hereby referred to as the "Service Provider".
The Application is designed to run on your device. It does not require you to create an account, and it does not collect, log, or transmit personal information during normal use. Everything the Application produces while you use it — your oath signatures, your streak history, your schedule and window settings, and your choice of which apps to block — is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to the Service Provider or any third party.
The single exception is the optional in-app Feedback feature. If — and only if — you choose to send feedback, the Application transmits the message you typed, a screenshot of the app that is shown to you before you send it, and basic technical context (your device platform, the app version, and your app language) to the Service Provider's feedback backend. Sending feedback is entirely voluntary and happens only when you tap send. If you never use the Feedback feature, no data leaves your device.
If the Application is used with an active internet connection, technical protocol data (such as your ephemeral IP address) is transmitted to facilitate network connectivity for the Feedback feature, but this data is not retained or used for tracking.
Blocking distracting apps during your chosen window is performed entirely on your device. On Android, the Application uses an accessibility service to observe which app is currently in the foreground so it can display a blocking screen; on iOS, blocking is handled by Apple's built-in Screen Time (Family Controls) system, and the Application receives only an opaque selection token — it does not learn the identities of the apps you choose. In both cases, this monitoring is processed only on your device, in real time, to make the blocking feature work. It is not stored off your device, not transmitted to the Service Provider, and not used for any other purpose.
This Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device.
The Application does not use advertising, analytics, or tracking services, and the Service Provider does not sell your data. The only data shared with a third party is the feedback you voluntarily submit: it is transmitted to and stored on infrastructure provided by Supabase, acting solely as a hosting and processing provider on the Service Provider's behalf. On iOS, the blocking feature relies on Apple's Screen Time system, which operates on your device under Apple's own privacy terms. No other information is shared with third parties.
The Feedback feature is opt-in: you can decline to use it, and nothing will be transmitted. You can stop all use of the Application and remove any locally stored data by uninstalling it, which simply removes the Application from your device.
If you have submitted feedback or contacted the Service Provider directly, you may request deletion of that information by contacting gyandamx@gmail.com.
The Application is not intended for children under 16 years of age, or such higher age as required by applicable law. The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from children or market to them. Since the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, children's data is not at risk from use of the Application alone. If a child voluntarily submits feedback or otherwise provides personal information and is under 16 years of age, their parent or guardian must provide consent on their behalf where permitted by law.
Because the Application keeps your data on your device and collects personal data only when you voluntarily submit feedback, the risk of personal data exposure is minimal. However, no security system is completely secure. The Service Provider implements reasonable safeguards to protect its systems and any feedback data it holds.
Since the Application collects personal data only when you voluntarily submit feedback, the risk of a data breach affecting your personal data is minimal. If a breach occurs involving feedback data or other information you have voluntarily provided, the Service Provider will notify you as required by applicable law.
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy with an effective date. Where required by law, the Service Provider will seek your consent to material changes before they take effect.

By using the Application you consent to the processing described in this Privacy Policy. Where processing is based on consent — such as submitting feedback — you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
