Quotes of Life is a simple app for collecting your favorite quotes and showing a random one on your device home screen. It is built and maintained by a single independent developer. If you need help, you've come to the right place.

How do I show a quote on my home screen?
Add the Quotes of Life widget to your home screen using your device's standard widget picker (long-press the home screen on Android, or use the widget gallery on iOS). The widget shows a random quote from your collection and refreshes automatically.
The home screen widget isn't updating. What can I do?
The widget refreshes on a schedule set by your device's operating system, so a new quote may not appear instantly. Tapping the refresh button on the widget shows a new quote right away. Opening the app, adding or editing a quote, or removing and re-adding the widget will also prompt it to refresh.
Where is my data stored? Is it backed up?
All your quotes are stored locally on your device only. The app has no account and no cloud backend, so nothing is uploaded to a server. Because of this, your quotes are not backed up by the app — uninstalling the app or resetting your device will delete them.
How do I delete a quote?
Open the quote and use the delete option. Deleting a quote removes it permanently from your device.
Is the app free? Does it show ads?
The app does not collect personal information and does not include third-party advertising or tracking. See the Privacy Policy for details.
